Voter Registration Requirements

U.S. Citizen

You must be a U.S. citizen to register to vote

Age 18 or Older

You must be at least 18 years old by Election Day

New Jersey Resident

You must be a resident of New Jersey for at least 30 days before Election Day

Not a Convicted Felon

You must not be serving a sentence for a felony conviction

How to Register to Vote

Online Registration

The easiest way to register is online through New Jersey's voter registration system.

In-Person Registration

You can also register in person at your local county clerk's office or at certain government agencies.
