The Work Continues: Serving Families Across District 11

April 24, 2026
Community Service

Preparing to serve residents before pantry distribution begins.

Event photoEvent photo

Public service continues beyond Election Day. This week, we gathered to prepare for our ongoing food pantry distributions across District 11, ensuring that families facing food insecurity have access to fresh produce and nutritious meals. From the wide pantry setup to the fresh produce ready for distribution, every detail reflects our commitment to serving our neighbors with dignity and respect. This is the work that matters—showing up for families, listening to their concerns, and taking action. These distributions will continue throughout the year as part of our commitment to addressing food insecurity and supporting affordability for all residents. Whether it's through food pantry partnerships, senior services, or community listening sessions, our work to strengthen District 11 continues every single day. Thank you to all the volunteers, community partners, and faith leaders who make this work possible.

Campaign Statement
Event photo

I want to congratulate Analilia Mejia on her victory in the NJ-11 special election and thank everyone across Morris, Essex, and Passaic counties who participated in the democratic process. Throughout this campaign, I had the privilege of listening to residents concerned about affordability, school funding, healthcare access, and families facing food insecurity. Those conversations mattered—and they will continue. I am deeply grateful to the volunteers, neighbors, educators, seniors, faith leaders, and community members who supported this effort. While the election is over, the work of serving our community continues. I remain committed to strengthening our neighborhoods and helping ensure the voices of District 11 residents are heard. 🙏

It was especially meaningful to hear Pastor Bernadette Glover of St. Paul Baptist Church in Montclair share a powerful Good Friday message with more than 700 worshippers gathered in fellowship and reflection across our region. Spending time together in moments like these reminds us that strong communities are built through shared values, service, and connection. It was an honor to be present alongside so many neighbors from across our district during this important Holy Week gathering. Thank you to Pastor Glover and the congregation for the warm welcome and for the work you continue to do strengthening our communities. We look forward to continuing to listen, learn, and engage across NJ-11 as we work together toward Hope for Tomorrow.

Campaign Statement

I appreciated learning that the League of Women Voters worked to organize a forum for District 11 voters. Conversations like these are important, especially in a special election where many residents are still getting to know the candidates. I remain available to participate in any community forum, conversation, or public discussion that helps voters better understand the choices before them on April 16. In the meantime, I will continue meeting residents across the district in churches, neighborhoods, and community spaces to listen and share ideas about the future of District 11.
